We held our very first event, “STICKY FROG CUSTOM PARTY vol.1,” from March 13th to March 24th for the entry period, with the awards announced on March 27th, on X (formerly Twitter). Thank you to everyone who participated, viewed, and supported us! Despite only having about 10 days from announcement to entry, it turned out to be a very exciting event with a total of 9,500 likes and 200,000 impressions.

The aim was to let even beginners to customizing experience the fun of participating with their customized mini-cars and to enjoy the event regardless of their skill level, from beginners to advanced customizers. Rather than a contest, we chose to hold it as a party. We are relieved and pleased that our intentions reached many people and that everyone had a good time.

We plan to hold events regularly, so if you thought this looked fun, we hope you’ll join us next time. Customizing with decals is ten times more fun than you might think! We look forward to seeing you!

Entry comment: “A simple custom job on a HW Basic yellow model, just added some decals and did a bit of painting. MOON really suits modern Japanese cars too.”

Unable to spend much time on painting or sculpting, I focused on enjoying placing decals with an emphasis on balance. Entry Comment: “Inspired by Mooneyes’ iconic “Moonbug,” I turned a beetle into a funny car style, imagining the flames emitted from a V8, with flames near the exhaust. I layered eye shapes and logos on top of that to aim for a sense of unity.”

Comment: “The decals fit perfectly on the heavily customized beetle and look very cute.”

Entry Comment: “Pulled out something I had left unfinished halfway through customizing, and turned it into a Moon Equipped version… The key point was adding corner pin stripes to each panel. Also, I tried to skillfully use various decals while keeping an eye on the balance—turned out quite atmospheric, didn’t it??”

Comment: “The unity achieved through the wild custom with MOON Equipped is remarkable, but the reason for the award is the unexpected method used to cover the decals’ only flaw, the corner pinstripes.”
